Harker Jones’ “Until September” Recognised for Multiple Literary Achievements

Harker Jones’ novel Until September continues to garner recognition, being named a finalist in the BREW Readers’ Choice Awards 2024–2025 and winning the Beyond Boundaries Reads Book Award 2025. Additionally, the novel has been selected to receive the Spotlyts Story Award, with an official announcement scheduled for February 2025.

The BREW Readers’ Choice Award, organised by The Chrysalis BREW Project, celebrates books that resonate deeply with readers. Until September was among the distinguished finalists, recognised for its emotional depth and resonance with audiences.

About the Book

Until September is a coming-of-age novel set against the backdrop of a coastal summer in the 1960s. It follows the journey of Kyle Ryan Quinn, a privileged and sensitive teenager, as he navigates the complexities of first love and self-discovery. Praised for its “lyrical prose and rich, introspective narrative,” the novel effectively captures the emotional challenges of adolescence, particularly within the LGBTQ+ context.

About the Author

Harker Jones is the author of the award-winning love story Until September, which has earned accolades including the LGBT+ Fiction Award from the American Legacy Book Awards, the LGBTQIA Fiction Award from the Independent Author Awards, and the Reader Views Literary Awards Gold Award. His young-adult thriller, Never Have I Ever, was named a Top 5 finalist in the American Writing Awards and a finalist in the Global Literary Book Awards.

Jones has written short thrillers such as Cole & Colette and One-Hit Wonder, which have been accepted into more than 60 film festivals and received numerous honours. A former managing editor of Out magazine, he currently reviews theatre for Broadway World. Jones is also a published poet and a member of both the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle and Mensa.
